The short version: we help you plan; the places you book, you book with them. Here is the longer version.

1. Who we are

Modern Travel is a travel planning site run by a small team in the EU since 2006. Contact: [email protected]. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you don't, please don't use it. The company behind Modern Travel is listed at the end of this page.

2. What Modern Travel is (and isn't)

Modern Travel is a planning tool and an editorial guide. We generate itineraries, show destination guides, and point you to places where you can book stays (Vrbo) and activities (Viator). We are not a travel agency, a tour operator or a booking party. Every booking is a contract between you and the provider you book with, under their terms, prices and cancellation rules. We never see or hold your payment details.

3. AI-generated itineraries

Itineraries are produced by an AI model from your request. They are suggestions, not verified facts. Opening hours, prices, availability, distances, weather, visa and health requirements can be wrong or out of date. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, especially bookings, transport connections and entry requirements. Budgets and nightly prices shown are rough editorial estimates, not quotes.

4. Affiliate links

Links and search boxes for Vrbo and Viator are affiliate links: if you book through them we may earn a commission from the provider. The price you pay is the same as going direct. We mark these links and widgets on the page. Details in our affiliate disclosure.

5. Your account

• You must be 16 or older and give a real email address you control.
• Keep your password private; you're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. That removes it and every trip saved to it.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.

6. Fair use

The planner costs us money every time it runs, so please use it like a person, not a script. Don't scrape the site, hammer the planner, try to break into accounts, or use the service for anything unlawful. We limit how many itineraries one address can generate in a given period.

7. Content and sharing

Trips you plan get a public link so you can share them. Anyone with the link can see the itinerary (not your name or email). Don't put personal information about yourself or others into trip requests. The site's own text, design and code belong to us or our licensors; photos belong to their photographers (credited on the page). You may share trip links freely; don't copy the site wholesale.

8. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on an itinerary, from a provider you booked with, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for consumers under Slovak and EU consumer law.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and material changes get a notice on the site. These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. Disputes go to the competent courts in Slovakia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence. Consumers may also contact the Slovak Trade Inspection, SOI (soi.sk), for alternative dispute resolution.

10. Company details
